2020 — The Kaplan Pathways partnership begins

The story

The idea of Lu Gold was established in 2009 in a dorm room at Broadgate Park, University of Nottingham. Incorporated in Nigeria in December 2012, we opened our first head office and showroom in Calabar in 2013. Since then, we have built nine operating businesses across three countries and remained self-funded while preparing the group for institutional partnership.

We incorporated in Nigeria in December 2012 and opened our first head office and showroom in Calabar in 2013. Services for LG began that year, alongside a monthly HVAC retainer servicing 300+ units across two Flour Mills of Nigeria plants in Calabar.

Lu Gold became a fulfilment centre for Konga and Jumia in 2014. Lu Gold Store launched in 2015. Kassuwa followed in 2018 through a partnership with the FCT government via Abuja Markets Management Ltd. Ardent Cooling formed in 2019, the Kaplan partnership began in 2020, Cityclapr was established in 2021, PTE Club followed in 2025, and the group expanded in Brazil in 2026.
